“Political Topics and Essays, Part Forty-Four: Chef James shares with us his Thoughts on Michael Dunn, Florida’s Stand-Your-Ground Gun Law, and how this Man is little more than a Racist Thug unlike George Zimmerman who was merely Stupid” by Chef James Hall

--> --> --> ---------------------------------
Today’s album by the Flying Burrito Brothers is their third release, and a great one at that, which came out in 1971: “The Flying Burrito Brothers.” Gram Parsons left the band and newcomer Rick Roberts stepped in and did an excellent job filling his shoes and in fact, it was a great CD so we urge you to get it! In addition, we are also promoting the book, “The Great Contraction 1929-1933” by Milton Friedman, Anna J. Schwartz, and Peter Bernstein, which came out in 2008! Use the link above to buy the album, then go to the other link, and buy the book!

George Zimmerman—suffering from PTSD
Bakersfield, CA, 02-25-2014 Tuesday: I remained silent on the George Zimmerman-Trayvon Martin shooting the last couple of times I was here but I see, once again, that Florida has been embroiled in another race-based shooting.  Now, I do not believe that George Zimmerman did anything wrong other than thinking he was the toughest fellow strolling the streets in Sanford, Florida, when he came upon a young black kid coming back from the convenience store.  Like everyone else, I heard the doctored 911 calls that NBC so villainously crafted to fit its demented needs as a network as well as to provide help to Barack Obama on all fronts and have to say, I was disgusted by all of it.  Like everyone else, I believed that Mr. Zimmerman sought out that young black kid who looked no more than 10 years old (if one was to believe the images the news media presented the public!) and set out to beat the strange kid but instead had the kid beat the snot out of him so he had to shoot him!
Obama used Zimmerman as Part of his Agenda
When the truth of the matter FINALLY came out, I have to admit that I like everyone else was stunned because no longer was Trayvon the sweet-looking young kid that the big, evil bully, George Zimmerman sought to slay to make himself a BIG man.  No, Trayvon was an oversized kid with anger and drug issues who was bopping about that night looking into parked cars and otherwise making himself appear suspicious.  George Zimmerman was a man doing what he felt to be his ‘civic duty’ by serving as a neighborhood watchman as their neighborhood had been the target of criminal activity on countless occasions.  I am sure he bought the handgun and took firearms training so that he could use his pistol—as a means of last resort—as confidently as possible, hoping he never had to use it.  Yet that dark, rainy night, he saw a large person wearing a hoodie sweatshirt doing suspicious things and set out to observe and to report his findings to the local police department.  Unfortunately, for Zimmerman, it did not work out that way and young Mr. Martin surprised the hell out of the older man by lunging out of the dark and into a grapple of sorts with him in the street.

Sanford, Florida—Stand Your Ground Gun Law
Once this appalling accident took place, the news media saw an immediate opportunity to not only tar and feather ALL white people as still being the bigots they once were back in the years leading up to the Civil War and secondly, to help Barack Obama move his agenda FORWARD.  The Sanford Police Department investigated the crime and saw that Zimmerman’s account of the tragedy appeared to be truthful as it repeated it the same on numerous occasions.  What compounded the wretched event was the fact that Trayvon’s family had no idea what happened to their boy as he did not live in the neighborhood, he was visiting his father, I believe, in the next neighborhood over from the one in which, Zimmerman lived.  I believed he lie in the morgue until Trayvon’s father came looking for him and that is when he found out that his son had been the unfortunate victim of a legal shooting, that is when the man went ballistic as any parent would when confronted with the facts of the crime.  It is like being on vacation and coming home to your burned down house with a notice on the front door saying it’s ‘uninhabitable’ and giving you a list of agencies that can provide you with aid, you go, “What the hell is this, what happened to my home?”
Trayvon Martin—in the Wrong Place at the Wrong Time
As the story began to come out, the bulk of the news media saw an opportunity to go after racism in America to help Barack Obama and his agenda to move forward unabated.  All of the race pimps from Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson circled overhead like the greedy vultures they are, ready to rend and tear the lives of anyone apart who is on the side of now, WHITE HISPANIC murderer who took the life of an ‘innocent boy.’  The television news went on 24/7 with coverage as to how the United States is STILL a racist nation, in which the Ku Klux Klan and other white supremacist groups ride every night, burning crosses on the front lawns of the frightened black folks, raping women, burning their churches, singing Dixie, and awaiting the rebirth of the Confederacy!  It drove me insane listening to this incessant drumbeat pounding in my temples around the clock because I knew it was both a lie and something the press drummed up to promote their sick racist agenda! Even Barack Obama was out there berating everyone by proclaiming that “Trayvon Martin could be my son,” how jury tainting is a statement like that from the highest individual in the land?
Race Pimps Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton
Now, Florida once again has a similar situation only this one is entirely different than the Martin-Zimmerman affair.  Michael Dunn is the new image of the ‘stand-your-ground’ self-defense law in Florida and there is no doubt that what this man did to 17-year-old Jordan Davis outside a convenience store on the night of November 23, 2012 was a ‘racist event.’  If it’s NOT racist, then Mr. Dunn is an insane nut but nothing he did either before, during, or after the event smacks of racism, it smacks of a self-important, stupid man who thinks his excrement does not stink!  While his fiancée, Rhonda Rouer, was inside the store purchasing some driving food, a car with several black kids with LOUD music blasting out of the car’s stereo pulled up alongside Dunn’s vehicle.   He asked them to ‘turn it down’ instead of rolling up his windows and said that he ‘saw a gun pointing at him so he grabbed his gun and planned to defend himself and his sweetie pie.’
Michael Dunn and his Fiancée Rhonda Rouer
My understanding of the story is that the car with the teenagers drove off once they saw Dunn’s firearm and Dunn fired at the retreating vehicle, striking Mr. Jordan with one or more shots, killing him.  Did Mr. Dunn and his fiancée remain in the parking lot to speak with the cops? No, Ms. Rouer heard the commotion but did not see it, her beau kept mum on the events, and off they drove into the Florida night.  In fact, they drove back to the hotel in which, they were staying so they could attend Mr. Dunn’s son’s wedding, ordered pizza, walked the dog, and spent the night.  The next day, they awoke, had breakfast, and drove 175 miles to their home in Brevard County.  The police arrested him a day or two later and charged him with first-degree murder as NO gun was ever found in the vehicle of the black youths.
Victim, Jordan Davis—murdered by Michael Dunn
The trial of Michael Dunn was relatively quiet compared with the circus surrounding George Zimmerman and here, the perp was clearly a WHITE man who fired at BLACK kids intentionally because he felt ‘threatened’ when one of them began to exit the car at the store.  Only when Dunn pulled his firearm out of the glove compartment of his car did the youth retreat and in retreat, actually began driving away from the store, a sign of submission to me.  Did Mr. Dunn need to fire at the fleeing car?  I believe he made a dreadful mistake and it shows that there was more in his mind—most likely racism—that caused him to shoot the car, then go back to the hotel, order a pizza, walk the dog, and spend the night in the company of Ms. Rouer.
Michael Dunn’s Mug Shots
The jury found Mr. Dunn guilty of four of five charges in the case and it’s clear that he is going to go to jail for a long time because of the fact that he felt so confident that he had no obligation to wait and to speak with the police and to more or less brush the whole event off shows to me, the man deserves what he gets.  Even if the young men had threatened him, once they drove off, they did not represent a danger anymore (well, they could always come back with a gun since they did not have one in their car) so he had no business shooting at their car.  It is clear that he felt so confident in his actions that discharging his firearm—several times, no less!—obligated him to do nothing in subsequent events.  Dunn is no George Zimmerman, he was not doing an appointed duty by being the neighborhood watchman, he had a gun and felt that any disrespect from anyone outside his limited range of friends and family a major threat, one he felt he had the right to bring to a favorable conclusion in ANY way possible.  What a load of crap, he deserves to go to prison and for a long, long time!
O.J. Simpson—in Jail where he belongs!
We live in a troubled world in which, I believe race issues have improved until Barack Obama came along as he and his allies make everything about race.  However, this does not permit someone like Michael Dunn to unload his gun on a retreating vehicle full of black youths, kids that probably in his mind scared the crap out of him but to everyone else is merely the culture of the times.  Like O.J. Simpson getting away with the murder of his wife and her friend, one dark night, and then getting off, he now is in prison for a much longer time and for a less important crime and likewise, Dunn is going to pull 75 years, partly for a makeup for Zimmerman getting off with NOTHING.  Granted, I believe Zimmerman to be ‘innocent’ but still, he took a life and deserved SOME sort of punishment but I believe that Michael Dunn—a murderer—is going to do not only HIS time but Zimmerman’s as well.  Florida knows it screwed up in the trial of George Zimmerman as it has in many others (Casey Anthony comes to mind) and it is determined to make Dunn pay for both of their crimes!  Good riddance to trash, Mr. Dunn, you deserve to go to prison!
Casey Anthony—she should be in Jail for murdering her Child
That is going to do it for today, my friends, we have had a good couple of days and I hope that the next five will move as quickly! The events of which, we just shared a discussion should bother everyone because it is as if we are reverting to our Wild West ways in which, the fastest draw was the one who lived the longest.  I do not believe that these black teenagers deserved what they got even if they did show a gun because they were attempting to leave the scene.  It is clear that the gun in Dunn’s hand spoke volumes to them and it was not worth their trouble getting into a dispute with a gun-wielding cracker.  While both parties may have spoken coarsely to one another, it does not mean that one needs to pull out their six-shooters and to begin lighting up everything in sight, at some point, we must fix what Obama has broken on race because it is getting out of hand and needs to be stopped, once and for all.  Where is our president—when we could actually use him—to put a stop to all of this insanity?  Oh, I forgot, it feeds his agenda and it is never going to stop!
Another Shot of Racist and Murderer, Michael Dunn

We have touted the AARC Technology Company here in Bakersfield, CA, and must add the Nerds on Call.com folks.  Without them keeping our blog up-and-running, there is no telling where we would be now.  We have a great many problematic issues here at the AICP-END because even with the best security systems in the world, malware and other terrible fecal materials manage to penetrate the blogsite.  Do yourself a favor, hire the best, and note, you can have online help via a remote button on your desktop for just $25 per month!  Get in contact with the Nerds now!  Here’s another note: do NOT do business with Galkos Construction, Inc., those people are nothing but crooks as if you lease your system, you will never pay it off, plus you have to pay them for excess energy produced by your system, the electric company does not buy all of it nor do they!  AVOID GCI AT ALL COSTS; DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!

BURRITO DELUXE
I want to end our day by urging all of you to check out these very fine CDs we are promoting as the Flying Burrito Brothers are among the absolute best bands I have had to pleasure to hear!  I always loved the Byrds, I was so sorry when they finally broke up and split apart but I was overjoyed when Chris Hillman joined forces with “Sneaky” Pete Kleinow, Michael Clarke, Bernie Leadon, and Gram Parsons to play the true American music.  Even when Parsons died, the band carried on for a period with Rick Roberts on board that the music should have continued forever.  All of these musicians were very talented and it’s always a joy when new live material is found and their record companies release it to the public! (Here's a thought: had the record companies of the 1960's and 1970's had CDs, imagine the amount of music that would have come out at the time and how it may have helped some of these bands to have far longer careers than the ones they had!)  Please, buy the music we advertise, you will be ecstatic with the sounds wafting out of your speakers, trust me, I would never lie to you!  I will see you all tomorrow, have an awesome day and take care; we will meet here tonight at 11:59 p.m.!
THE FLYING BURRITO BROTHERS
Stinkbug’s Closing:
Anyhow, let us close with this impassioned plea—please leave some comments and/or become a follower. What's more, why not spend some money and purchase an album by the Flying Burrito Bros, the Grass Roots,  It’s A Beautiful Day,  Moby Grape, the Doors, and everyone else we have advertised and/or buy a cookbook from Amazon.com—we want to make some money here so help us out by buying something!  Allied with them, we are pleased to market their merchandise!  Amazon.com is one of the greatest—if not the ultimate greatest!—online department stores in which, one can find almost everything on the planet.  We love them and they love us and we want all of you to visit them daily, take advantage of their deals on everything from kitchen equipment to cookbooks, CDs, DVDs, and everything else a person could want.  Everything you buy from them puts money into our pockets, which allows us to keep this fine blog up-and-running 24/7/365!  God bless America and God bless Amazon.com!

This is me as a chef during the 1980's when we took a group photograph for a Chefs de Cuisine yearbook. At the time, I was working at a hotel in Bakersfield, CA, down on Union Avenue. It was still somewhat nice and the area was still the original "restaurant row" of the city. Now, I am 67 years old and work over in Santa Barbara, CA, as a food and beverage director for a fine-dining country club.
