1,1066th BLOGPOST AT THE AICP-END!
HUMP DAY!
Bakersfield, CA, 01-30-2014 Thursday: It’s HUMP DAY and that is always good as it means soon, I will be jumping a flight out of Meadows Field and will be heading first to Seattle to see some relatives, buy some Seahawks’ merchandise, and then will be flying out to Kona on the Big Island before making it home to Maui!  I enjoy coming into Bakersfield as it’s always an eye-opening place what with my time spent out here in Oildale, the place of trailer parks and crappy bars, albeit, Nashville West. One of the things I enjoy doing when I come to town is listening to the country music at Trout’s on North Chester Avenue, this place has some of the best country and western music of anyplace I’ve ever been!  I would urge anyone seeking a great place to vacation to consider coming here to this part of California where one can see ALL types of folks!  The only thing that ever bothers me when I come here is the limitless amount of space there is, the land goes on and on and it’s somewhat frightening to be sure!  In the islands, there is only so much room and on Maui, you can circumnavigate the island of Maui in less than a day depending upon the condition of one’s car and the roads on the far side.  Here, Kern County is so big that it could swallow the Hawaiian Islands up and do it numerous times!  Still, I enjoy flying in and spending some time hanging out here at the blog and suggest that anyone else interested in a writing career contact Moses Scharbug or Stinkbug and check out the possibilities!
Trout’s Bar in Oildale, California
Before we continue with yesterday’s topic, I would like to break away from what the main branch of the Democrat Party favors and that is unrestricted illegal immigration! America is a land of immigrants, we have immigrants from all over the world come here to live and to work among us.  Even Hawaii has its share of illegal immigrants, people who come here not only from Central and South America but from Canada, Asia, and Western Europe, too.  However, one thing that has been on the rise is the number of crimes the illegals commit and at some point, we as Americans have to address this BUT the president and his administration could care less.  You see, not every Democrat is in agreement with one another and I believe that this is one of our weak points because it seems to me that right now, there is a concerted effort by some in our country to give BACK to Mexico what many consider stolen property!  Recently, there have been articles vilifying the Mexican -American War of 1848-1850 as one in which, this nation misbehaved toward its southern neighbor, one that asked Americans to settle in Tejas and then lost it to them and the Yankees in Washington, D.C.  The people knew that there was great wealth in the areas of northern Mexico, primarily in California, Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico along with some other states like Colorado, parts of Wyoming, Nevada, and even Utah.  While I believe that we could have behaved better towards our weaker neighbor, I also know that we can rectify what happened in the past by uprooting millions of Americans by flooding them with illegal, uneducated aliens.
Last Hawaiian Monarch, Queen Liliuokalani
You see, the Kingdom of Hawaii was stolen around the same time English and American traders and whalers basically took away the monarchy and replaced it with an American territorial flag.  Washington, D.C. saw the islands as invaluable in the spread of American power and lo and behold, they shunted Queen Liliuokalani aside by forcing the Bayonet Constitution of 1887 upon the people of the islands, the monarchy collapsed and the despicable conspirators proclaimed a ‘republic.’  This is history, we may not like it but there is not much we can do about it and while I feel sad for the Mexican people, like those who rant constantly about slavery, let’s face it: NO one alive NOW was ever there!  Yes, this sometimes gets me in trouble with fellow Democrats but it is what it is, I am mixed race as are my children, I am of Portuguese-Hawaiian descent, my husband is Japanese and my kids are more mixed up than many people living on the mainland.  I am as intermixed with the Hawaiian people as are anyone else because the Portuguese and the Japanese were here way before the first Anglos arrived on their trading vessels and colonized us.  Since that time, more and more different Asian groups as well as Puerto Ricans, Europeans, and even some Hispanics arrived to work here on our plantations because there was money they could make here.  Now, we build homes, remove the sugar cane and pineapple, and send those very iconic crops to Central America for import BACK into the U.S.
The Present-Day Flag of Hawaii
Therefore, what I am saying is that at some point, we must stop this nonstop immigration of millions of illegal aliens into our country as if we do not, at some point, these people will be RULING us.  If I had to choose between whom to rule me, I would rather it be the Anglo-Americans than the Mexican and other Latin Americans because their growing narco-trafficking comes along with them.  Drug crimes have gone up in Hawaii and our prisons have their fair share of outsiders residing in them. We have one jail system in each of the four Hawaiian counties and four prisons three of which, are on Oahu (Halawa Correctional Facility, Waiawa Correctional Facility, Waipahu; and the Women’s Community Correctional Center, Kailua), one on the Big Island (Kulani Correctional Facility, Hilo), and then four county jails for the four counties (Maui, Oahu, Big Island, and Kauai).  Our state also contracts with the mainland and more and more prisoners go there, many times creating extreme hardship for their families but it is what it is, mostly the illegals go there but we really need to send them back from where they come!  People call me a ‘racist’ for expressing this but unless we want to see our state become one more place overrun by illegal aliens—we need a president who will side with the people and not with the illegals!
The Flag of Mexico
We come now to our look at possible candidates for the Democrat Party’s presidential nominee and almost none of them seem to favor putting a stop to the incessant crossing of the nation’s borders illegally.  This means that for the first time in my life, if the Republicans manage to put forward a candidate for whom I can vote, I will!  The most important thing to me is someone who will fix Obamacare and then defend the borders!  Like it or not, if we ever suffer a WMD strike within the borders of the nation, that situation will come back to haunt the administration in power and those who advocated for a less stringent containment of who comes across rather than those who prefer defending the country’s borders!  We need some mavericks, some outside the party who are not afraid to put a stop to the current madness going on—on the southern borders (and here in Hawaii).  Like it or not, the future for our kids and their kids depends upon us and I am looking for a candidate serious enough to save my kids’ futures!
Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg
The candidate I think would be the best to challenge Hillary for the presidential nomination would be New York City’s former Mayor Michael Bloomberg.  Mayor Bloomberg has accomplished more in the way of helping average New Yorkers by assuring that crime rates went DOWN while protecting the rights of every citizen, visitor, and diplomats than any administration prior to his.  I know I spoke glowingly of him either yesterday or the day before but I have to push the idea again and I hope that you concur.  Experience is important and Mayor Bloomberg has more experience as an executive than even Barack Obama had when he made it to the White House in 2008.  We must seek the most experienced individuals out there who can put the nation back to work and provide the most federal aid necessary with which, to make America the nation it was prior to the two lost administrations of George W. Bush!  No more wars, no more crony capitalism, no more deceit with the American people, I like Mr. Bloomberg!
Failed President George W. Bush

CREAM OFF THE TOP
As always, we have a great time around here and that is why we want all of you to become a part of the organization by submitting articles to us for inspection and full-credit.  It is a great thing if you would do this, as it is a symbiotic relationship: we give you the space to share your recipes and in return, you send us more and more people who will become dedicated followers of the AICP-END.  Currently of multi-diversity across the Internet, it is important that we hear the voices of more and more people from all walks of the foodservice profession —join us. We urge our readership to write to us, leave comments, and if there are any of you, who would care to write an article for us, please get in touch via Magnolia Hilltop Brewers, P.O. Box 20669, Bakersfield, CA 93390-0669.  We obviously do not pay anything but give YOU full byline and that, my friends, is worth its weight in gold.  We want as many people who want to write to be able to do so and we believe that by presenting a forum for our fellow chefs, we are doing something for our beloved industry.  We love diversity and hope to add new and different authors to our pantheon of chefs, food and beverage directors, and culinary professionals.  Come on and join us, it will be fun! Expect that when all of us have run through our cycle, we will be introducing some brand-new talent or so Stinky says.
STRANGE BREW-THE VERY BEST OF CREAM
We have touted the AARC Technology Company here in Bakersfield, CA, and must add the Nerds on Call.com folks.  Without them keeping our blog up-and-running, there is no telling where we would be now.  We have a great many problematic issues here at the AICP-END because even with the best security systems in the world, malware and other terrible fecal materials manage to penetrate the blogsite.  Do yourself a favor, hire the best, and note, you can have online help via a remote button on your desktop for just $25 per month!  Get in contact with the Nerds now!  Here’s another note: do NOT do business with Galkos Construction, Inc., those people are nothing but crooks as if you lease your system, you will never pay it off, plus you have to pay them for excess energy produced by your system, the electric company does not buy all of it nor do they!  AVOID GCI AT ALL COSTS; DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!
THE VERY BEST OF CREAM
We are selling recipes all the time and you can order things you would like copies of simply by mailing us your name, address, the recipe you would like and a check for $1.00.  You can buy an entire week’s worth of recipes when we do a series simply by sending us a check or money order (no cash please!) for $20 and we will have it out to you in the next day’s mail.  Please become a part of the AICP-END by sending us your names, addresses, and information and we will welcome all of you with open arms!
THOSE WERE THE DAYS
To buy paintings, recipes, or full article series, please send us your information by mailing us at P.O. Box #20669, Bakersfield, CA, 93309-0669.  You can call about paintings at 661-834-5185; we will take all calls and provide to you as much information as is available.  It is time that we begin taking the next step and to immortalize Beverly Carrick for eternity and begin moving towards the establishment of a website of our own! God bless each single one of you amongst our fan base!
TWENTIETH CENTURY MASTERS—THE MILLENNIUM COLLECTION—THE VERY BEST OF CREAM
I think we have had a great week so far and I hope that our final three days are just as good. I want to say one thing about all of the criticism President Obama has gotten over the NSA Spying Scandal, something that has troubled me a great deal lately.  I hate to say this because people on the other side will say I am a “Bush Hater,” but if you want the truth, President Bush was the first chief executive who ran a spy program in which, he kept tabs on ALL Americans and friend and foe alike around the world—this is what dictators do! President Clinton never did anything like this, ONLY President Bush and that means everyone has to wake up, smell the Kona Coffee and agree that only the Republicans are the heavy-handed thugs.  It’s people like them who overthrew the Hawaiian Monarchy and one day, it is the hope of every native-born Hawaiian that our sovereignty will be restored and that we will leave the United States of America!  Join us in our quest by checking out my Facebook Page, you can find it if you look for it!  God bless, I will see you all tomorrow, aloha, my friends and please: buy some CDs, books, and leave your comments! Ta-ta!

Stinkbug’s Closing:
Anyhow, let us close with this impassioned plea—please leave some comments and/or become a follower. What's more, why not spend some money and purchase an album by Cream, the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Jimi Hendrix, the Steve Miller Band, Hot Tuna, and everyone else we have advertised and/or buy a cookbook from Amazon.com—we want to make some money here so help us out by buying something!  Allied with them, we are pleased to market their merchandise!  Amazon.com is one of the greatest—if not the ultimate greatest!—online department stores in which, one can find almost everything on the planet.  We love them and they love us and we want all of you to visit them daily, take advantage of their deals on everything from kitchen equipment to cookbooks, CDs, DVDs, and everything else a person could want.  Everything you buy from them puts money into our pockets, which allows us to keep this fine blog up-and-running 24/7/365!  God bless America and God bless Amazon.com!
Thank you!

This is a photo of me back in the 1980's when I was the Executive Chef at a fine-dining restaurant out in Lahaina, HI, on the beautiful island of Maui.  I began my culinary career in the late 1960’s while living on my home island of Oahu and after spending some time in California during the 1990’s, I returned to my native Hawaii and am currently running a gourmet restaurant in Kihei, HI.  My experience has been in fine dining but I’ve also spent time running a hospital kitchen as both a dietician and as a Cook IV.
