POLITICAL TOPICS AND ESSAYS, PART SIXTEEN
DAY NUMBER ONE-HUNDRED-AND-NINETEEN UNDER OBAMACARE!

“Political Topics and Essays, Part Sixteen: Chef Itzi discusses the President’s Remarks on Skin Color being a Reason for his Personal Likeability and also discusses the Collapse of Hawaii’s Obamacare Plan, the Hawaii Healthcare Connector!” by Chef Itzi Nakamura

1,1064th BLOGPOST AT THE AICP-END!
Obamacare Symbol
Bakersfield, CA, 01-28-2014 Tuesday: I was amazed at the comments made by President Obama last week when he came right out and said what many think and that is that he believes that those who do not like him do so because of his skin color.  I believe it’s true, I believe that there is a certain segment of the population that will never be ready for a non-white president and now that the white majority is in decline on the mainland while those of color continues to go up, it has taken on a negative tone.  I think that if Mr. Obama were a white man the opposition to Obamacare would not be half as bad as it is and that many people might be inclined to sign up much more quickly than the measly numbers the plan has so far garnered.   Here in Hawaii, the federal government gave us $100 million in federal funds to set up our healthcare exchange and the numbers so far have been less than 7,000 people signed up and hopefully paid.  We have a growing population here in the islands and our elected leaders pound away at this disturbing number every day doing their best to increase the numbers so we are not an embarrassment to President Obama and yet, it would appear that we are.  When you consider that each of these less than 7,000 applicants got about $15,117 per person, you can see that the rollout of Obamacare here in Hawaii is nothing more than a disaster.  We have another allotment of $100 million to get the entire state signed up and it’s clear there’s no way that that is going to happen so the state is considering as to HOW it can transform it into a state-wide program and not a federal one.  What is happening to us?
Hawaii Healthcare Connector
As the president has said, there is a segment of society that has it out for him and is determined to do its utmost to make sure that when he leaves office, the people will regard him as a failure.  I would like to ask, “Why are we NOT doing everything in our power to make sure his time in office is considered to be one of the BEST administrations ever in this country’s history?”  It amazes me how determined the opposition is to the president’s agenda, making it seem like it’s some sort of evil plan created by the devil to overthrow America’s cherished freedoms!  I can understand failure on the mainland but here in Hawaii, it blows my mind to see the lack of enthusiasm in making the Hawaii Healthcare Connector a raging success, it is a slap in the face of all Hawaiians!
President Barack Obama
The state government expected to sign up at least 100,000 uninsured individuals but the number as it stands is exactly 6,615 individuals, most of whom are small businesses and individuals.  Granted, the young people can remain on their parents’ plans, which to me seems to be a mistake because this is the target group sought by healthcare officials to make the plan viable.  We need the young people to sign up in droves as only they, the so-called ‘young invincibles’ are the ones needed to make the plan work.  We need to have the Millennials sign up in mass numbers because only through their participation can we make the plan serve ALL Hawaiians and on the mainland, ALL Americans.  Without them, the plan is crashing and burning on delivery and I find it shocking that President Obama did not do a better job to ensure that the plan’s rollout on October 01, 2013, was an amazing success.  Now, many see it as little more than a joke, a joke that now drives people AWAY from the plan rather than drawing them to it.  What can we do? I don’t know but I am concerned that if the president does not fix this plan and do it soon, then Democrats are going to lose a great deal of seats in the upcoming November elections!
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo
Something that makes me wince is what Governor Cuomo of New York said last weekend and that was more or less that if a New Yorker was conservative, he or she has no home in the great state of New York.  At first, I have to admit my husband and I chuckled over what we saw on the news but then when you consider the fact that we have a lot of other politicians putting their feet into their mouths, it is stuff such as this that is going to cost us BIG come November.  I realize that the governor is human and that everyone says things he or she wishes they had not said but stuff like that tends to come around and bite them on their butts.  If I were Governor Cuomo, I would go out there and address my comments because like the Seattle Seahawk’s Richard Sherman is ‘making a great deal of Denver Broncos fans,’ Governor Cuomo is going to cost us seats in the great state of New York because thirty percent of voters voted for Governor Mitt Romney in 2012.  That number can always go up because in the mid-terms, more seats of the president’s party are lost than are gained and its comments like these that are costly and also the president’s saying we ‘can keep our doctors and healthcare if we like them.’  The president's own comments prove this to be DEFINITELY NOT TRUE.  Dangerous for all of us, but especially mainland Democrats!
Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney
My hope is that President Obama will come out and fix everything by the time spring rolls around as otherwise, my party is going to lose a lot of seats we might not have lost otherwise.  We saw what happened back in 2010 and that was a pretty rough election, even here in the islands for many local seats.  We tend to go up and down in party turnovers but this time around, the Republicans are becoming emboldened and that could mean a lot of trouble.  I hope that Democrats from one end of the country will work hard at addressing our issues as otherwise; it is not going to be pretty for any of us.  We will continue discussing this theme tomorrow but for now, that will do it for today.
Seattle Seahawk Cornerback Richard Sherman

LIVE CREAM
LIVE CREAM VOLUME TWO
As always, we have a great time around here and that is why we want all of you to become a part of the organization by submitting articles to us for inspection and full-credit.  It is a great thing if you would do this, as it is a symbiotic relationship: we give you the space to share your recipes and in return, you send us more and more people who will become dedicated followers of the AICP-END.  Currently of multi-diversity across the Internet, it is important that we hear the voices of more and more people from all walks of the foodservice profession —join us. We urge our readership to write to us, leave comments, and if there are any of you, who would care to write an article for us, please get in touch via Magnolia Hilltop Brewers, P.O. Box 20669, Bakersfield, CA 93390-0669.  We obviously do not pay anything but give YOU full byline and that, my friends, is worth its weight in gold.  We want as many people who want to write to be able to do so and we believe that by presenting a forum for our fellow chefs, we are doing something for our beloved industry.  We love diversity and hope to add new and different authors to our pantheon of chefs, food and beverage directors, and culinary professionals.  Come on and join us, it will be fun! Expect that when all of us have run through our cycle, we will be introducing some brand-new talent or so Stinky says.
HEAVY CREAM
We have touted the AARC Technology Company here in Bakersfield, CA, and must add the Nerds on Call.com folks.  Without them keeping our blog up-and-running, there is no telling where we would be now.  We have a great many problematic issues here at the AICP-END because even with the best security systems in the world, malware and other terrible fecal materials manage to penetrate the blogsite.  Do yourself a favor, hire the best, and note, you can have online help via a remote button on your desktop for just $25 per month!  Get in contact with the Nerds now!  Here’s another note: do NOT do business with Galkos Construction, Inc., those people are nothing but crooks as if you lease your system, you will never pay it off, plus you have to pay them for excess energy produced by your system, the electric company does not buy all of it nor do they!  AVOID GCI AT ALL COSTS; DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!
CREAM OFF THE TOP
We are selling recipes all the time and you can order things you would like copies of simply by mailing us your name, address, the recipe you would like and a check for $1.00.  You can buy an entire week’s worth of recipes when we do a series simply by sending us a check or money order (no cash please!) for $20 and we will have it out to you in the next day’s mail.  Please become a part of the AICP-END by sending us your names, addresses, and information and we will welcome all of you with open arms!
STRANGE BREW-THE VERY BEST OF CREAM
To buy paintings, recipes, or full article series, please send us your information by mailing us at P.O. Box #20669, Bakersfield, CA, 93309-0669.  You can call about paintings at 661-834-5185; we will take all calls and provide to you as much information as is available.  It is time that we begin taking the next step and to immortalize Beverly Carrick for eternity and begin moving towards the establishment of a website of our own! God bless each single one of you amongst our fan base!
THE VERY BEST OF CREAM
I think we have a good time today and you know what? I enjoy the new format and being able to discuss topics of interest rather than pounding it out every day by doing recipes, too.  At some point, of course, we will return to food but the topic prior to the advent of 2014 was that we needed to involve ourselves in the political battles coming this year.  We need to be relevant to the political discussion rather than a bunch of good old boys and girls talking about banana cream pie, hobo stew, and lomi-lomi salmon.  There is a great big world out there and it’s our job to be a part of it, too, and not on the fringes.  Please leave some comments and by all means, BUY some CDs and political books because we mean for our blog to take care of the readership’s needs every day and across the country from sea to shining sea!  Aloha, I will see you all tomorrow, have a lovely Tuesday!  Bye!
THOSE WERE THE DAYS
Stinkbug’s Closing:
Anyhow, let us close with this impassioned plea—please leave some comments and/or become a follower. What's more, why not spend some money and purchase an album by Cream, the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Jimi Hendrix, the Strawberry Alarm Clock, Hot Tuna, and everyone else we have advertised and/or buy a cookbook from Amazon.com—we want to make some money here so help us out by buying something!  Allied with them, we are pleased to market their merchandise!  Amazon.com is one of the greatest—if not the ultimate greatest!—online department stores in which, one can find almost everything on the planet.  We love them and they love us and we want all of you to visit them daily, take advantage of their deals on everything from kitchen equipment to cookbooks, CDs, DVDs, and everything else a person could want.  Everything you buy from them puts money into our pockets, which allows us to keep this fine blog up-and-running 24/7/365!  God bless America and God bless Amazon.com!
Thank you!
