POLITICAL TOPICS AND ESSAYS, PART TWO

DAY NUMBER ONE-HUNDRED-AND-SIX UNDER OBAMACARE!

“Political Topics and Essays, Part Two: Today’s Topic is the Fear many Democrats share regarding the ‘All or Nothing’ Strategy the Modern-Day Democrat Party is using and what it’s Possible Outcome might be!” by Hector Santanamos

1,1050th BLOGPOST AT THE AICP-END!
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid
Bakersfield, CA, 01-14-2014 Tuesday: Good morning and hello again.  We began speaking of politics yesterday, will continue doing so again today, and quite possibly, every blogger this year will continue this brand-new category throughout the year.  It is an election year and that means, there is much to discuss, particularly as to whether or not my party—the Democrats—will hold onto the Senate and stop any further bleeding within the House of Representatives.  As I said yesterday, I am an old-style Democrat, one who believes in the yin-and-the-yang of the two-party system, a person who knows that one party is not always at the top.  In May of last year, some said I was a bit ‘harsh’ on my party and that I might be a closet Republican, something I highly deny.  However, I am, at times, at odds with my fellow Democrats because I believe that if we continue winning at any costs, at some point, the people of America will turn on us and that the Republicans will leap ahead of us by a long margin.  I think much of the problem exists within the Senate and that the majority leader, Harry Reid, may need to tone it down and begin to work with the other side.
The Affordable Care Act
The reason I say this is that the loss of six senators will turn control of the Senate over to the Republicans who have a lot of payback in their hearts, to be sure.  We have managed to stuff a bunch of laws down their throats, which most of them fought against or opposed with all their might.  The fact that the Affordable Care Act has proven to be such a disaster as to embarrass not only Barack Obama but the majority of my party is not something any Democrat can or will run on this November.  I realize it’s possible that it might turn around but I highly doubt it as within the next six months, most businesses will begin to lay off employees, cutting their hours, and dropping coverage for most of them if not all.  The fact that President Obama—guaranteed the American people on at least 28 recorded occasions that no one would lose their healthcare or their doctors!—is the rope by which, the opposition is going to hang us.  You can see the Republican Party gearing up behind numerous issues such as Obamacare, Benghazi, the NSA and IRS scandals, Fast and Furious, and a whole mess of other things is not good for the Democrats.  We need to be able to run on successes, which to me does not include throwing the nation’s borders open and allowing in millions of low-income, low-education refugees.  We need actual successes and that means, President Obama needs to fix his signature healthcare law and to make it work as otherwise, the Tea Party groups are going to make mincemeat of us.
The National Security Agency
Something else with which, I disagree with Harry Reid and that is his intransigence over working with his Republican counterparts.  I for one do not see us holding onto power forever because at some point, the Constitution is going to reinstitute itself through the power of the voters.  I realize that President Obama has no problem issuing executive orders but as an old-time Democrat, I do not believe this is anyway to run the government as much of what he is doing will disappear once the conservatives take the Senate later this year.  It is clear to me that if the president will not be content to work within the scope of the law, that he might face impeachment, too, because of all the things with which, he’s gotten away.  It is like being a topnotch sports franchise that lives on the edge, at some point, things swing back around and payback sucks.  Everyone guns for you and when they take you down, it’s an ugly sight and I for one do not wish this to happen to the Democrat Party.
President Bill Clinton
Here is what I would urge the Senate Majority Leader: (1) put the filibuster rule back to the way it was because when the Republicans threatened the nuclear option, our side went ballistic and they backed down from the precipice.  (2) Find a way to be less-insulting to the opposition as it does not make our side look good and again, payback is a bitch.  (3) Make the president roll back the healthcare law until BOTH sides can fix it as otherwise, it might totally disappear once you are out of office and quite possibly, before you leave it—NOT good.  (4) Finally, try to find consensus and most of all, uphold the Constitution as I find it to be a pretty good document, one that has served us well.  You see, politics works best and serves the most people when both sides are involved with one another and not at one another’s throats.  We can do it and we can do it again, government has worked before and it can work again, it worked under Presidents Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton and both of them had stiff opposition.
President Ronald Reagan
Last week when I was working on my blog posts, I was somewhat upset over the fact that San Francisco 49ers managed to overcome the Green Bay Packers, I fully expected the Packers to put a stop to their overpowering offense but they played well on both sides of the ball.  I have to admit that I was also upset over the loss of the Kansas City Chiefs as I thought that they were going to be the miracle team of the playoffs.  Of course, I have no idea at the time of this writing what the outcome was of the Divisional Playoffs last weekend but I was hoping that both Denver and New England would rise to the top of the AFC and that my home team, Seattle, and the Carolina Panthers would fight it out for the NFC title this upcoming weekend.    I expect to see the Broncos and the Seahawks fighting it out in the Super Bowl and have bet a great deal of money on Seattle going all the way!  Those of you with like minds let me know what you think on this topic!

As always, we have a great time around here and that is why we want all of you to become a part of the organization by submitting articles to us for inspection and full-credit.  It is a great thing if you would do this, as it is a symbiotic relationship: we give you the space to share your recipes and in return, you send us more and more people who will become dedicated followers of the AICP-END.  Currently of multi-diversity across the Internet, it is important that we hear the voices of more and more people from all walks of the foodservice profession —join us. We urge our readership to write to us, leave comments, and if there are any of you, who would care to write an article for us, please get in touch via Magnolia Hilltop Brewers, P.O. Box 20669, Bakersfield, CA 93390-0669.  We obviously do not pay anything but give YOU full byline and that, my friends, is worth its weight in gold.  We want as many people who want to write to be able to do so and we believe that by presenting a forum for our fellow chefs, we are doing something for our beloved industry.  We love diversity and hope to add new and different authors to our pantheon of chefs, food and beverage directors, and culinary professionals.  Come on and join us, it will be fun! Expect that when all of us have run through our cycle, we will be introducing some brand-new talent or so Stinky says.

We have touted the AARC Technology Company here in Bakersfield, CA, and must add the Nerds on Call.com folks.  Without them keeping our blog up-and-running, there is no telling where we would be now.  We have a great many problematic issues here at the AICP-END because even with the best security systems in the world, malware and other terrible fecal materials manage to penetrate the blogsite.  Do yourself a favor, hire the best, and note, you can have online help via a remote button on your desktop for just $25 per month!  Get in contact with the Nerds now!  Here’s another note: do NOT do business with Galkos Construction, Inc., those people are nothing but crooks as if you lease your system, you will never pay it off, plus you have to pay them for excess energy produced by your system, the electric company does not buy all of it nor do they!  AVOID GCI AT ALL COSTS; DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!

God bless each single one of you amongst our fan base!
VALLEYS OF NEPTUNE
This is going to do it for day number two of our week together, which means, we have another five and then who knows?  The way things are going around here, we might not meet again for another 7-8 months, possibly after the election if at all this year.  What I would like you to take away with you today is the idea that we need to protect and to defend the Democrat Party from all attackers and that means, we need to police our own better.  I realize that they see in President Obama an opportunity with which to go for all or nothing of the agenda and that’s not right because it’s not a very intelligent strategy because it depends on too much to happen and as you see, the opposition is beginning to stand up and fight back.  I truly hope that my party is not decimated by the other side this November but that might be hoping for too much.  We will continue our discussion tomorrow so please be here at 11:59 p.m. tonight for round three! Leave me some comments, it is important that we begin building up our personal blogging portfolios because at some point, I could go independent and run my own blog!  Have a great day and I will see all of you tomorrow—do not fail to be here!

Stinkbug’s Closing:
Anyhow, let us close with this impassioned plea—please leave some comments and/or become a follower. What's more, why not spend some money and purchase an album by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Jimi Hendrix, the Young Rascals, the Steve Miller Band, Hot Tuna, and everyone else we have advertised and/or buy a cookbook from Amazon.com—we want to make some money here so help us out by buying something!  Allied with them, we are pleased to market their merchandise!  Amazon.com is one of the greatest—if not the ultimate greatest!—online department stores in which, one can find almost everything on the planet.  We love them and they love us and we want all of you to visit them daily, take advantage of their deals on everything from kitchen equipment to cookbooks, CDs, DVDs, and everything else a person could want.  Everything you buy from them puts money into our pockets, which allows us to keep this fine blog up-and-running 24/7/365!  God bless America and God bless Amazon.com!
