“Educational Writings-Discourse, Part LXXXVI: Summer Vacation Series 2013—the Best Posts from the Original Blog and the Jefferson Starship, Part VII” by Moses Scharbug III

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
We continue offering albums by Country Joe and the Fish, one of the psychedelic era’s greatest rock bands to come out of the Bay Area!  Unlike their San Francisco fellows, CJ Fish came over from Berkeley, California and their music had a lot to say about the politics of the time in the same vein as their compatriots, the Jefferson Airplane.  The band sixth CD, “CJ Fish” came out in 1970 and is yet another classic to this day!  Please take the convenient link posted above, go to Amazon.com, and buy it now; you’ll be glad you did!

973rd BLOGPOST AT THE AICP-END!
The Democrat Donkey—more a Jackass at times!

Bakersfield, CA, 07-21-2013 Sunday: Good early morning and welcome to the fastest growing blog online anywhere in the world but especially here in the United States—I welcome you!  Last Thursday, the Senate had some major issues as Republican Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell and Democratic Majority Leader, Harry Reid, were arguing back and forth over who was stopping more business from moving forward.  The Democrats are upset that the Republicans are fighting hard to keep the Dems from moving their agenda forward, something that angered them immensely.  Yet, I remember many years of the previous administration, how it faced nonstop partisan attacks from all sides and a Democratic minority for six years that eventually drove the nation into the financial abyss in which, we now find it!  The Dems were responsible for everything from crashing the real estate market to the destruction of American prestige around the world, ALL designed somehow to get George W. Bush out of the White House and his underlings locked up in prison.  Never in my life have I seen so much collusion between our government’s elected leaders as I saw during the years Mr. Bush mired the nation in Iraq.  Granted, I do not think we should have entered Iraq but once in, it is up to ALL elected leaders to defend the nation against all attacks instead of aiding and abetting it.  Just think of all the confusion that took place with the fall of the Iraqi military over the course of the early days of the invasion, the Dems started going after Mr. Bush on everything from Abu Ghraib to the religious civil war that sprang forth and claimed many American and Coalition lives.   It made me ashamed of my nation but especially of the Democrats, a party that still causes me shame to this day!
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Democrat-Nevada
I sometimes wonder WHY, exactly, the nation has fallen on hard times, you know, why people hate one another, detest one another, practically cannot stand one another.  I think that once again, the trial of George Zimmerman resonates among the people in much the same way that the trial of murderer, OJ Simpson caught people off guard when they took distinctly opposite sides.  How is it that the blacks could feel one way and the whites the other but in the viewpoint of the former, they feel that America has punished and purged them unfairly throughout their time in country.  While that is something that is difficult to dispute, at what point do Americans finally come together and put the past behind them?  Let me tell you precisely why this will not happen and what we Americans must do to make it so.  Let’s discuss this topic a bit more on this lovely Sunday morning shortly after midnight as this is the best time for us to discuss this hot topic.
The New York Times—once the Nation’s Top Newspaper, now nothing but a Rag!
The problem with our nation is that the press has become a one-sided monolith that is in bed with the liberal leftists controlling the Democrat Party.  There, I said it; deal with it because it’s true.  Look, if we had an impartial press, even the most un-erudite among us would realize that much of what has been ongoing since the days of Bill Clinton, through George W. Bush, and into the present mess we now live with, none of this or at least, most of this would never have happened.  Why?  Because the press would VET everything from top to bottom and determine whether it was right or wrong for the people and then given them the chance to decide.   When Bill Clinton lied, when he schlepped Monica Lewinsky, when he covered up this affair and lied about others, the news media of the nation would have exposed him and he would have suffered impeachment.  When President Bush did good things for the nation, instead of the press allowing the liberals to vilify him unfairly, the press would have been the proponent of impartial truth.  When Mr. Obama ran for office in 2008, the press would have blown the presses apart getting the news about the Reverend Jeremiah Wright into everyone’s home as well as his associations with former terrorists Bill Ayers and his wife, Bernadine Dorn.  The problem is, the nation’s press is partial, partisan, and dishonest and that is a recipe for disaster.  One day, we might have a far worse man in office who will clamp down on the freedom of the press and by the time they realize what is happening to them, they will be unable to STOP it!
The Reverend Jeremiah Wright—the President’s Pastor until he threw him under the bus!

CLASSIC BLOGPOST OF THE DAY FROM THE ‘ORIGINAL’ ELEMENTAL NEWS OF THE DAY:
The post I have selected for you today is another one from the year, 2009.  It is a damned good one, written by Chef JT Tobiason back in the first few weeks we went online.  He discusses the racial animus in this nation, what we must do to put a stop to it and somehow move ahead but in the first few months after Mr. Obama became president, very few among us had any idea how bad it was going to get!

Racial Volcanism in the United States
Hello, friends:
The Flag of Brazil—a racially diverse nation at peace with itself

Bakersfield, CA, 06-04-2009—. Like always, the United States plows on through internal problems and its sad how our society has become.  What concerns me is how racism is always bubbling beneath the surface and every time it seems like maybe we can go forward, we end in going back.  We realize that racism is alive and well around the world and many countries that claim they do not have a problem--like Brazil--actually do.  When there are tens to hundreds of words to describe every possible permutation and quantify amounts of blood that make up the population, there is a problem there.  Certain world leaders have held up Latin America and the Caribbean nations as a "shining example" of how its individual societies have cast off the humiliation of racial insults. Yet, anyone who has an undiminished bloodline back to the "conquerors"--the Spanish, the Portuguese, lesser amounts of French, and minute pockets of British--has more social standing than someone with the blood of African slaves and Native American, what is known as a zambo.  I am sure that without further investigation and relying on friends who have spent time in these nations, there are names for each possible permutation.
The Portuguese Flag
The United States has a dark past and it has taken practically the entire length of our nation's life to eradicate the hideousness of slavery, the genocide of the First Peoples, and discrimination in varying intensities against almost every minority or ethnic group or religious group that has come to these shores.  Certain religious minorities that suffered persecution in Great Britain for instance (the Puritans) came to these shores and persecuted others that followed and which did not share the same religious philosophies.  The Mormons were driven west by their persecutors and persecuted non-Mormons who followed and even conducted raids back in the mid-to-late Nineteenth Century dressed as "Indians."  They attacked wagon trains on the way to the Oregon Country, killed the men, and carried off the women and children eventually, the federal government punished them for it but it left its stain. What it is were saying here is that practically each group has persecuted another and no one is free of the indelible stain.
The Confederacy—Defenders of the Old South
This country fought a horrible war against and amongst its own brothers, the American Civil War, 1861-1865President Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves and ended up forcing them into a bondage worst than the one they had escaped but never lived to see it or to stop it.  The bloodshed was phenomenal, the deaths, almost too much to count, and it has taken us to this very day to lay it to rest.  Following the Civil War and with political chicanery that saw an election "settled" ala the "Back Room" politics-style, all Federal troops were removed from the south by "the Compromise of 1877" within 12 years.  There was a disputed election and Democrat Samuel J. Tilden had 185 electoral votes whereas Republican Rutherford B. Hayes had 167.  Both parties claimed three states--Louisiana, South Carolina, and FLORIDA (!).  Back room chicanery allowed Hayes to become president in exchange for no more Republican governments in any southern state and the removal of the "occupation forces." The blacks were on their own.
Democrat Samuel J. Tilden—lost the 1876 Presidential Election
It took almost an entire century--from 1877 to 1965--and if you start counting at the end of the Civil War, 1865, it took a century before the big changes were set into motion. The Civil Rights Movement--led by Reverend Martin Luther King and others--grabbed the nation by its testicles and begin shaking it in the way a dog shakes a bone--violently.  It is unfortunate that it took so much violence and that people had to die in droves and many more injured and crippled due to every form of assault, murder, rape, beatings, police brutality, and all sundry forms of national insurrection.  It was as if, the U. S. found itself embroiled in another "civil war;" almost every state in the nation found itself in strife and between that, the protests against the war in Vietnam, and all of the ghetto uprisings in major cities throughout many a summer must have made our nation look absolutely foolish and violent.
President Rutherford B. Hayes—won the 1876 Presidential Election
Now, we have our first African-American president and whether you voted for Barak Hussein Obama or, not anyone alive today cannot but help to be proud of the country.  Like him or not, our nation has accomplished a major feat, something no European nation has, the election of a black.  That one accomplishment alone should make everything OK, right? Right? No, it doesn't seem that way now does it?  Sadly, it seems that it matters not.  There is more strife beneath the covers and is not visible on the surface as it was; nevertheless, it's still there.  As we go around the country with our work, we have an opportunity to hear from people from everywhere.  The insults traded now carry more venom and sound worse and no one is afraid to say them.  Rude comments against skin color or lack of it, against ethnicities, religion, and sexual identities are prevalent.  The language has become much coarser than it was when we were growing up in the 1960’s.  At least back then, we all thought the world was honestly going to change and that the vaunted Age of Aquarius as upon that and us we were on the road to something good--except it ended up an age of hard drugs, disappointment, and sadness, of venereal diseases both treatable and non-treatable, and the haves against the have-nots.  Boy, what a letdown that was!
President Dwight D. Eisenhower
The fact of the matter is that now, everyone seems to be more on edge.  It's our political system and how the puppet masters of society who pull our strings and make us dance constantly play the populace.  It seems that the population has absolutely no idea as to why they are so angry, are distrustful of people they don't know, and are ready to react to the slightest provocation.  It's no wonder that people look back to the "golden age" of Presidents Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Harry S. Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and the squandered potential of John F. Kennedy.  Instead, we ended up with Lyndon Baines Johnson who upped the ante in Vietnam, Richard M. Nixon who got us out of Vietnam but had to resign due to his involvement in the Watergate Scandal and peacemaker, Gerald R. Ford.  Then, the presidency of a man not qualified to hold the office—Jimmy Carter—insulted the nation and propelled Ronald W. Reagan into the White House. Both sides pretty much admit to being the best president of modern times, if not for just bringing down "the Wall," and President George Herbert Walker BushPresident William Jefferson Clinton would have been right up there with President Reagan had not his involvement with White House intern; Monica S. Lewinsky doomed him to a back seat.  President George Walker Bush actually did a lot more good for the country than his detractors will ever admit to because their blind rage over the humiliation suffered by his predecessor made his eight years an absolute nightmare.  Now, we have President Obama.

President George Herbert Walker Bush

Virtually all of us had immense hopes for the nation and no matter where we go or have been, people were literally excited and were happy to overlook his "questionable background" on the hopes we might actually have a good thing for the country in office.  Now, it seems that a lot more people have become afraid, concerned with the mood of the country, and the simmering racism bubbling on the stove.  Why is it that our beloved nation can never put this disgusting specter of the past away for good?  Why is it that the greatest melting pot in the world, the greatest experiment that every last person would sell his mother to enter, to become a citizen, to become a part of "us" has these infernal problems?  Is this the legacy of slavery?  Would reparations make it go away?  What would it take for the people to work together and put America back on top rather than seek a way to bring it down?
President William Jefferson Clinton
The thing that saddens us the most is that the United States, a GREAT nation with difficult periods in its past but has worked to solve with super-phenomenal strength is this insult of racism.  Quite a few of us have intermarried more than once and have had happy lives.  Children of mixed blood are our legacy and their happiness says something.  The national conversation has always said that the children will be the savior of the U. S. and that's true--if only their parents would get on board and cooperate with the rest of us.   Instead, they let out their personal demons and do so every night at home around the dinner table or in jest as they watch a football game on TV.  We can all get together and between us, we have all colors and political philosophies and teach our children that skin color is a societal construct that has no basis in society.  Then, they come home and tell us what they hear at school, who insulted them, and what they did and each night, the positive indoctrination commences.  It's a daily thing, our battle to put down the race whores who try to hurt their feelings, make them feel like something’s "wrong" with them, and it's not easy.  In fact, at times, it's very sad.
President Gerald R. Ford
Please, fellow citizens and non-citizens with whom we share our country, it's important that we work on this together.  Whether or not you care for the president, his story is unique among a nation of unique people and we should all learn from it.  Let's step forward, step up, and take our place at the head of the world once again.  Whether we like it or not, we are a unique nation, we have all of the right things necessary to be the best, to raise others to our level, and to lead those that want to accompany us.  Our strength is in the diversity of our people, in the melting pot, NOT the tossed salad idea, the intermingling of many to create one, to build on all of our experiences so we can become the best.   We have always had the potential and have also had many an opportunity to "step in it," so by doing so, and then wiping our feet, we can step forward again.
The Philippine Flag—one of America’s many nationalities
We'd like to comment on the "melting pot" issue as opposed to the "tossed salad."  Our country and many of the other nations in our hemisphere and in South America are "melting pots."  People from around the world have come to both North and South America and granted, the road has been hard (as already noted) to create new societies of every ilk, political philosophy, and a hundred other differences.  It is this blending of bloods with the many here already that has allowed our people in particular to become what they have--one of the greatest if not the greatest nations of all time and it is because people wanted to be an American and not an Irishman, Frenchman, Filipino, or Chinese.   Why do so many want to risk their lives crossing the southern border, as stowaways in the holds of cargo ships or in the wheel wells of jet airliners, or in the dangerous waters of the Caribbean?  They come because they want to be an American!
The Flag of China
The problem is there is a fundamental difference between the immigrants of the Nineteenth and Twentieth Century’s and now; the ones that came in the earlier times wanted to be Americans, they wanted to become a part of the culture, to learn the language, to learn our history.  Now, they want America to become an extension of their home countries and that is what is wrong.  No longer do they want to speak English, they want us to speak all of their languages.  They have no desire to learn our culture or our history but want to transplant their ways here and live in individual pockets across our nation.  They no longer want to be one with us, they want us to be one with them and that is wrong.  When utilities and other governmental agencies had to begin printing all of their forms in twenty or more languages is when we have lost our culture.  It is financially disastrous for America to cater to those who would ruin it by taking the bits and pieces they want and polluting the rest with their filth. No wonder there is racism in the intensity as it is now, the citizens feel under assault by hordes of illegals, terrorists, and foreigners interfering in our political system.  Instead of being a pedigree, we are becoming mongrels in our own country. If that does not stop, it is like a volcano spewing racism all over the place, everywhere.  It permeates the people, it angers them, and they respond in kind.  If we do not do something now, we stand the chance of losing our nation to those who do not appreciate it.  President Obama, are you listening, sir? America first, the world, a distant second...

Thank you, my friends!

The Flag of the United States
The Jefferson Starship
That is it for the cartoons for one day, let’s jump to the musical selections we advertise here on a daily basis and have since the very first day the blog opened its doors!   I have chosen to present the Jefferson Starship, as among my personal favorites and here is the seventh set of FIVE albums:

XXVI.  Thursday, 05-05-2011: “Earth”:  1978—this album came out in the aforementioned year and followed its predecessor by two years.  The band had monster success and finally had the opportunity to take some time off between touring the world and recording albums.  A great album but not quite up to the ones that preceded it, it’s still worth owning.

XXVII.          Friday, 05-06-2011: “Gold”:  the band’s first compilation album came out in the same year as the preceding album and contains all of their best tunes.  This is definitely a good way in which, to introduce oneself to the greatest band of the 1970’s and 1980’s.

XXVIII.Saturday, 05-07-2011: “Freedom at Point Zero”: at this point, Grace Slick left the band to deal with chronic alcoholism, something that plagued her since her days with the Jefferson Airplane.  Mickey Thomas, former lead singer of the Elvin Bishop Group came aboard and opened up a brand new chapter of the band’s success.  This is a great album, one that everyone definitely needs to own as it contains the monster hit, “Jane!”

XXIX.  Sunday, 05-08-2011: “Modern Times”:  the next album to come out was this offering, “Modern Times,” which came out in 1981 and saw the band moving forward once again.  By now, Mickey Thomas was an integral part of the band and added a whole new dimension to the band’s formula.  Still, this one was not quite up to par with the previous one yet every album the band put out continued to hit gold.

XXX.     Monday, 05-09-2011: “Winds of Change”:  1982—our final album of the day came out in 1982 and that is “Winds of Change,” in which, Grace Slick now returned to the fold.  No massive hits came off this album yet it went gold shortly after coming out.  I suggest that each and every one of you rush to the blogposts of the preceding day and pick them up—you will be glad you did!
Vocalist Mickey Thomas
Well, well, well, we have come to the end of the Sunday edition of the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day, the place where we cover a wide variety of topics such as music, politics, the culinary arts, and stories of long ago!  We still have to wade our way through the normal closing material and do hope that enjoy what we do here as we rapidly approach our 1,000th blogpost.  Note that we do not count the ‘in memoriam’ as blogposts as they are separate things meant to celebrate those we know, love, and have lost over the years.  I think when we can discuss politics without people writing us to tell us they hate us, want to kill us, and rape and murder our family members that the world is going to be a better place!   To me, having people say that sort of stuff is the meaning of success!  Okay, onto the end!

I-FEEL-LIKE-I’M-FIXIN’-TO-DIE
We have touted the AARC Technology Company here in Bakersfield, CA, and must add the Nerds on Call.com folks.  Without them keeping our blog up-and-running, there is no telling where we would be now.  We have a great many problematic issues here at the AICP-END because even with the best security systems in the world, malware and other terrible fecal materials manage to penetrate the blogsite.  Do yourself a favor, hire the best, and note, you can have online help via a remote button on your desktop for just $25 per month!  Get in contact with the Nerds now!  Here’s another note: do NOT do business with Galkos Construction, Inc., those people are nothing but crooks as if you lease your system, you will never pay it off, plus you have to pay them for excess energy produced by your system, the electric company does not buy all of it nor do they!  AVOID GCI AT ALL COSTS; DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!

GREATEST HITS
Our fifth week together has now come to a raging end, a good thing to be sure. I do hope that you are enjoying our musical selections and also our older blogposts from the beginning.  We had a lot of fun back then and even though we achieved a relatively high number of page views, time spent on site (TSOS), and other notable things, we still would have loved to have kept that original blog going until the end of time or the dawn of the new era!  The world could be a better place but to make it better, we all have to get together, pray for a better world, and then make it happen no matter if we are Christians, Jews, Muslims, or whatever else.  The problem is this, the people who mean to do the world harm—terrorists to be precise—need eradication and only the Western World is capable of doing that.  Join with us, let’s work out a way in which, we can bring world peace to all and over the course of time, maybe we can not only save our nation but also save the rest of the world!  See you all tomorrow, please buy some of the albums we advertise, as that is what keeps our blog up-and-running!
CJ FISH
Anyhow, let us close with this impassioned plea—please leave some comments and/or become a follower. What's more, why not spend some money and purchase an album by Country Joe and the Fish, the Jefferson Airplane or Little Feat, and/or buy a cookbook from Amazon.com—we want to make some money here so help us out by buying something!  Allied with them, we are pleased to market their merchandise!  Amazon.com is one of the greatest—if not the ultimate greatest!—online department stores in which, one can find almost everything on the planet.  We love them and they love us and we want all of you to visit them daily, take advantage of their deals on everything from kitchen equipment to cookbooks, CDs, DVDs, and everything else a person could want.  Everything you buy from them puts money into our pockets, which allows us to keep this fine blog up-and-running 24/7/365!  God bless America and God bless Amazon.com!
Thank you!
